Labor Day
It turned out to be a nesting weekend for me, which was great because I got sooo many things organized in the house. Spencer is a slob, and I am trying very hard to change that careless quality in him. We made a big donation to Goodwill the other day.
I had my Barium swallow and CT scan yesterday. That was not as bad as I expected, but of course my system treated it completely differently than what is usual. I would have kept a 9 year old entertained all day with the sounds! Ugh. Very glad I took a comp day- work would not have gone well.
So now I have a three day week and twenty work days after that before my surgery. I convinced Jay last night to go to Benihana, although we couldn't really afford it. We did walk away with dinner for tonight as well, so that pleased me. Yum! It's my belated Benihana birthday dinner! Too bad I had to pay....
The refinance of the rental property is underway- we hope to transfer virtually all of the expense for the home to it directly. We will still have positive cash flow and will end up with only one debt left that we could pay off if we chose to liquidate stock. I am looking forward to the extra financial freedom. Jay is also talking about going on a 10pm to 10am shift that would work really well with my work schedule- and then I wouldn't feel so bad about having to spend so much time away from my son. It's different when he can stay home with his Dad. He loves to hang out with Elizabeth and Kayla, but I don't like how often I have to use them....I want to be with my son more since he is only little for a little while.
