One Month
So you can tell that I haven't had much enthusiasm for the blog lately, right? One month since I last posted.
I am home with a new right knee. It's painful, but I feel that it's progressing much faster this time. Maybe I am just optimistic since I know that in the end I'll have a good knee. I wasn't sure of that the first time around.
My experience at Kaiser this time was horrible as far as the hospital care goes, so much so that Jay had to spend the night with me to make sure that I could pee in my bedpan. One time they left me with it and disappeared. They didn't replenish the ice in my machine, my compression stockings were mysteriously turned off for several hours, they kept bringing me food with gluten- you get the idea. Worst of all, I was ignored for over 20 minutes when I called for my nurse. And since I had the audacity to complain, I was visited by the chief bitch in charge who told me get over it. I'll get over it my filing a formal grievance on the recommendation of my physical therapist. Ha!
Lots of changes brewing and I can't write about them publicly, but suffice it to say that my life is going in a new direction after I heal and I am very energized by it all. Also, I am learning how to finally budget and live within my means. That will be quite the challenge for me! I'm very hopeful that I will be successful.
